I call these games Equation Maker games.
I have used these for addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. They are really simple to draw up if you want to make your own or I have some premade ones available in my Math Board Games sets.

To make an addition one, you just need to draw 3 blocks then add the addition sign and equals sign. Put in the numbers that could make addition equations and it is ready to play.
The players make equations by covering one number in each set on a turn, e.g. 3+9=12. As there are fewer and fewer numbers, it becomes more and more challenging until the winner is the last one who can make an equation. These are simple to make but also a great challenge for the kids to play!
Here is an addition version.
This one is for subtraction.
This also works for multiplication!
This is one for division.
You can also make the numbers larger as in the addition game below to make the game more challenging.
If you would prefer some premade games, I have included Equation Maker games in some of my Math Board Games sets.
These addition games are from Addition Board Games.
These subtractions versions are from Subtraction Board Games.
The Multiplication ones are in Multiplication Board Games.
These division games are from Division Board Games.
Whether you want to make your own or use some of the games in my Math Board Games sets, these really are worthwhile trying with the kids! I hope you and the kids enjoy them!
Till next time!
